This is amazing!
Just curious, did you play the instruments and vocals?

Hey, thanks for listening!
I played all the guitars, bass, and drums. The vocals were done by a vocalist I had worked with in college named Anna Armstrong. She also appeared on my "Salty Sardine" album. The keyboards and synths are all programmed. I'm not a keys player, haha!
Thanks for listening! Hope you enjoyed it!
Amazing vocals dude. I think they are a little loud though. I would compress them a little if you haven't and blend them a little better.
Good shit.
Thanks a lot man, and yeah I agree actually. It's just a rough mix, but I was excited to put the song out.
Cheers.
Hmmm is that metal machine I hear?
For this song i used the standart "EZ drummer 2 modern basic".
What´s funny is: I only have one extra kit. And that is Metal machine :D
But well... I didn´t use it in this song ;)
Damn my dude, this is some top quality shit. What did you use for that tone? And also how do you manage to push your mix that loud?
Guitar tone? I'm using Toneforge - Menace vst for the virtual amp.
For the second question it's a long process, but mainly do frequency separation and hard compress for most of the instruments. In mastering, I put glue compressor and compress around 4 db, adjusting a bit of the tone with multi band compressor / EQ, putting stereo enhancer, then push the volume with limiter (A.O.M. Invisible Limiter), I'm aiming the dynamic range to 4
I like it dude. I'd suggest knocking some of the high end off those cymbals though, they kinda pierce the ear.
Thanks for the feedback, i still have a lot to learn about mixing, EQ and stuff. It doesnt help that i dont have a earphone yet to listen to my stuff better.
I like to make music.
